The 33rd edition in 2025 featured ten companies from around the world across five evenings. The United Kingdom’s Pyrotex Fireworx ultimately took first prize, followed by Platinum Fireworks from the Philippines and Dancing Fireworks Group from China.

The international character of the competition adds another layer to the spectacle. Each team brings its own artistic traditions, technical approaches, musical interpretations, and visual language, turning the event into a showcase of global pyrotechnic creativity.

More Than Fireworks

The contest has also become an important part of Macao’s wider tourism and events ecosystem. Alongside the main displays, the program includes activities such as photography, student drawing, and AI-generated art competitions, encouraging audiences to engage with the event beyond simply watching the sky.
